Junior Church
What
is it?
Junior
church is a version of church just for the children, to help them learn about Jesus in a way relevant to
them.
Who
Is it for?
We have
three classes 2s-4s, Infants and Juniors.
When
is it?
Junior
church is held every Sunday morning throughout the year. The children
come to the adult morning service for the first part, have a children’s
talk and then leave for their own activities...except once a month when
the children don’t go into the adult service and they have a longer
program. It’s a good opportunity for them to bring their friends along
and for us to spend a bit more time with them.
What
material do we use?
We use Go Teach material
and are currently in year 2 of the 4 year programme. The material has
good spiritual content and good visuals (we also use other material for
visuals - Abeka & Visual Impact Resources). Go Teach also has a
very good activity sheet for the children to take home.
What we pray
Our desire and prayer as a
team is to see the boys and girls that come on a Sunday reached with the
gospel of Jesus Christ. We desire that they would be saved. That they
would be established in their faith, and effective in sharing the
message of the gospel with their friends
